Rebecca Louise Beauty - The Glycolic Facial

Hello! This is a completely different blog for today. If you have been following me for a while, you will have seen that this week I announced the opening of Rebecca Louise Beauty. I have always dreamed of offering treatments from home, and my dream has slowly become a reality. I HAVE STARTED A BUISNESS!

I will be offering a small range of bespoke treatments, as well as offering Wedding & Special Occasion Makeup. Skincare, beauty and makeup have been a passion of mine since I was really young - my mum worked within the industry and it is something that I have truly loved. We used to sit in her room and get all of her makeup bits out and give me some to try. I was always obsessed with how she did her makeup and she always looks so glam! I knew that one day this would be my career. To be able to offer treatments from my brand new home is a dream come true - so thank you to all of my close friends, family & my partner for helping me along the way. I am so excited, if you cant tell!

The Glycolic Facial

So one of the treatments that I will be offering at Rebecca Louise Beauty is the Beauty Lab Glycolic Peel Facial. This seemed like a no brainer for me, because of my obsession with exfoliation. If you don't know too much about different types of exfoliators, have a look at my last blog post to learn a little bit more & how to elevate your skincare routine from home.

Exfoliation is fantastic to improve your skin, either over time or straight away depending on the type of product that you choose to use. This facial is amazing for basically everyone! At the moment you may find that your skin has been suffering with blemishes and breakouts due to the introduction of masks into our lives. Or that your skin is feeling congested or dull. Or you might want to work on the signs of aging in the skin. If your skin is naturally oily, combination or dry! For me personally, this treatment has worked wonders for my skin, and I am so happy with the results I gained.

So a bit about how the treatment works...

The main three components to this treatment are Glycolic acid, Salicylic Acid & Pomegranate extract. If these all sound alien to you, check out my last post to find out a bit more. Glycolic acid is water soluble so really great for someone with dry or dehydrated skin. Whereas the Salicylic acid is oil soluble - so if your skin is acne prone or oily, you'll love it! The combination of the two gives great resurfacing results.

The idea of this facial is to deeply exfoliate the skin, to reveal the new, healthy & younger looking skin. As well as resurfacing, brightening & reducing pigmentation.

When using an AHA and a BHA together they are great for plumping the skin. But this facial is also great for speeding up the skin's cell renewal, controlling sebum production & stimulate the production of collagen in the skin. So this basically touches on what most people want to work on with their skin!

The results of this facial are both immediate as well as long term. A one off facial will give you bright and smooth skin. But the course of 6 recommended facials are going to give you prolonged results and really work to change the skin. During the 6 sessions, we have the ability to increase the percentage of glycolic within your treatment as your skin gets used to this type of treatment. This is really one for the skincare lovers!

If you have any questions about the facial then feel free to drop me a message!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and again thank you for all of your support.
